Our BSL Choir Were Showcased at the MOBO Awards
Northern Counties鈥 British Sign Language choir had the incredible opportunity to attend the MOBO awards at the Utilita Arena this week.
Each year, the (Music Of Black Origin) awards spotlight a song from a previous winner to feature at the ceremony. This year, the chosen song was “g” by Ezra Collective. Our BSL choir was invited to record a music video for the track, which was showcased at the awards ceremony.
Then, our choir was lucky enough to attend the awards ceremony and see their hard work in real life on the big screen! The students headed down the red carpet, even getting to see some celebrities along the way.
So, how did they find it?
鈥淚 felt inspired. I will remember it for the rest of my life. I felt proud and brave to be a part of it. The atmosphere was buzzing鈥 鈥 Liam
鈥淚t was a good experience. I felt included, it was great!鈥 鈥 Kameron
Our excellent choir are no strangers to exciting opportunities; they鈥檝e previously been involved in the Jesmond Christmas light switch on and numerous networking events where they鈥檝e helped teach others.
